Boards are dark blue cloth with gilt lettering on front and spine, plus gilt box designs and a small house on the front. All cover letterings and drawings are clean and sharp, but the spine is very lightly faded. Boards and pages are clean, unmarked (except for original owner's name and date - July 1900 - on front flyleaf and name/address again on p.119 near the spine), bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered (except for some very light rubbing at corners of spine). Book is slightly cocked. Contains 266 pages of short stories followed by a 6-page catalog of other Harper books of the time.
